NEW 88’ Princess and Sunseeker 80 yacht to be launched at Southampton Boat Show

Sauthempton Boat ShowSouthampton boat show is due to take place from 13-22nd September, coinciding with the more famous Cannes Boat Show.  Although not as prestigious, the PSP is increasingly establishing itself as the most active, on the water boat show in the world. We witnessed their programme several times and tend to return on a regular basis.

Taking place in one of Europe’s largest, purpose built marinas, the Southampton boat show is improving its presence and image year by year.  Amongst many other entertainment options this September, the visitors will have a chance to witness a number of new features. For example, the Royal Navy is due to bring plenty of excitement and drama thanks to a number of planned parachute and helicopter displays as well as the amazing P2000 off-shore raiding craft to the show.

The most important news this year are the launch of two fabulous motor yachts.  The word is out on one of the largest Princess Yacht to date, the 88’ flybridge model.  The most distinguished features are unique deep-V Hull design which uses the new resin infusion technology making this new charter boat very efficient and direct in terms of handling and suitable performance. The Princess 88 mega yacht will also have a powered balcony which can fold neatly from the starboard side deck, while connecting the main deck salon area with the anchorage through stylish sliding glass doors.  Large panoramic windows either side enlighten the formal dining and expansive salon while the wheelhouse, galley and discrete crew access are tucked away ensuring the desired privacy for the owner and all yacht charter guests.

Pace. Style. Agility are the three words that best summarise the other superyacht launch at the PSP.  The Sunseeker 80 Yacht is the charter boat we are talking about.   And the first boat in this series will be there for all to see, including an optional cruise in the Southampton channel, speeding up along the South England coastline at an impressive 44 knots.   The Sunseeker 80 mega charter boat will be able to accommodate up to eight guests, while delivering plenty of ooze and style to the major cruising grounds in the Med and the Caribbean initially. As usual with all Sunseeker models, the interior design will be impeccable.  The main saloon is expected to be light and open thanks to large hull side windows and full height sliding doors that lead to the aft cockpit. Below deck, the stateroom and guest cabins will be even more intimate, secluded and luxuriously equipped.

Another boat expected to be on the show is a lovely FAIRLINE Squadron 78.  This is the CUSTOM built yacht which embodies everything that, as a charter guest, you would expect in a luxury performance motor yacht.  This impeccable yacht charter boat has grand private staterooms that combine light, space and air to stunning effect.  The yacht designers have used the finest materials including hand-selected granite work surfaces, hand-matched burrs and exotic woods in order to create a state-of-the-art design accents and features.
