SUPER YACHT TANDEM CHARTERS IN 2014

The YEAR 2014 has now set and we would like to wish you a very happy one.

The prediction is that super yacht charter, the luxury lifestyle everyone wants, namely to travel across 7 continents with style, sophistication and incomparable comfort, will start increasing in popularity and the tandem charters will prove to be the way to go this year.  There is namely a growing trend for extended families to get together on a super luxury yacht charters these days.  Larger groups of couples or even a number of individuals or families, are looking to make a joint holiday experience.  In this way they wish to combine closeness of their friendship and love with award-winning cuisine, first class luxury accommodation, stylish and intuitive service, all away from home and embark on their next luxury crewed charter together.

In such situations, one super yacht is unlikely to be a suitable choice.  As the cost of luxury crewed yachts which can accommodate more than 12 guests can be very expensive, it is advisable to pay special attention to all other available options.  Choosing a mega yacht based on the cabin numbers can be tricky as either you will get a boat which is not that superb or one that is enormously expensive.  This is where tandem charter will prove the best choice indeed. 

The yachts in a tandem charter will sail together, anchor within a short distance of one another, and provide some casual get-togethers throughout the charter week, always based on your preferences, pre-arranged activities or last minute crew suggestions.   During a tandem charter you can sail side by side taking part in watersport activities, luxury dinners or privately arranged competitions and beach games or pre-arranged excursions ashore as a group.  When meals are served on board, the chefs on both super yachts will be able to create best of the menus and serving staff will be happy to arrange either a formal dining for the adults and a kid-friendly menu for the children or a special BBQ on the beach party for guests from both yachts.  If everybody wants to eat together while on board, the buffet-style service served in the main salon or on the sundeck, is the usual way of entertaining demanding guests.

Arranging the tandem charter should not be a major problem, even though it will require more planning and continuous co-ordination efforts between the head charterer or his representative as well as our charter manager, the two captains and their respective crew.  And if you are a busy person, having a fast motor yacht next to your preferred super sailing yacht is the way to go.  Whatever your choice and requirements, with the Caribbean winter being in full swing and the bookings for summer charters in the Mediterranean being already in full swing, the period before and during the London Boat Show is perfect for browsing for the best options.

Belgian property company chartered a luxury sailing yacht XNOI during the prestigious Cannes event MIPIM in March 2015. They stated the lovely XNOI was even better than they expected and this spectacular yacht with the fabulous captain Marco made all the difference.
