Proposed Charter Route:
Winter 2026 – Sample Itinerary for those seeking to embark on WORLD ARC route with optional start in ST LUCIA or GRENADINES a few weeks earlier. We have namely arranged World ARC tour for other clients starting in the East Caribbean, across the ABC Islands and Bogota in Colombia with a stopover in SAN BLAS, Panama too. This is where we propose the start for your trans-pacific sailing charter to begin.

Early February in the San Blas Islands
Ideal start could be in February with a plan to reach the Tahiti before end of March.
We can suggest the following, subject to any personalised or bespoke requests and plans your family or party may have.

Days 1–6: San Blas Archipelago

    • While you can stay longer in SAN BLAS and explore the pristine cays of Guna Yala, such as Cayos Holandeses, Coco Bandero, and Chichime, surrounded by turquoise waters and coral reefs, for this occasion, we suggest you only embark here for a fabulous start. This is both due to duration of the charter and limits you may have but also having budget considerations in mind. You can for example charter in San Blas for a week or two during the Christmas and NEW YEAR in 2026, before deciding to embark on this journey in 2027.
    • After a relaxing day or snorkeling, beachcombing, and cultural visits with the local Kuna Yala communities as well as final checks of all personal equipment, brief sailing and safety instructions, this could be the time to set off for a once-in-a-lifetime trans-pacific sailing yacht.

Week 1:
Panama Canal Crossing

  • After boarding the Lagoon 620 BLUE GRIFFIN for a full-transit navigation through the legendary Panama Canal it’s time to start being amazed at the engineering achievements of the early XX century, all the while transiting the Gatún Locks, cruising Gatún Lake, and entering the Pacific.

Week 2:
Pearl Islands, Pacific Panama

  • Isla del Rey:
Here you can make a first longer stop, proposed 48hrs for a re-provisioning, checking of all on board and personal gear and also attempting to enjoy the natural serenity of this remote archipelago and enjoying a few aquatic activities, possible wildlife encounters in the largest of the Pearl Islands before heading out into the open Pacific.

Weeks 2–3:
Ocean Passage to the Galapagos Islands

  • Bluewater Sailing:
It may take an extra effort to register your access to Galapagos and that’s something to consider as the costs can only rise up by doing so.  Nevertheless, you can relish the thrill of an open-ocean crossing, often requiring 7–10 days, depending on conditions and routing and sublime wildlife, probably not available anywhere else on the planet earth
  • Galapagos Immersion (6–8 Days):
If you do decide to make a stopover here, you can plan with the following:

    • Discover unique islands such as Santa Cruz, Española, Floreana, and Isabela
    • The iconic highlights here include guided wildlife excursions, visits to volcanic landscapes, and spectacular snorkeling as well as enjoying tasty food prepared by your chef and unique cocktails prepared by your hostess.
    • Note: Galapagos entry and activities may require advance permitting and itinerary approval. An extra effort, costs and planning will be required to do so.

Weeks 4–6:
The Pacific Crossing to French Polynesia

  • Bluewater Adventure:
And while 26000 NM tradewind circumnavigation  of a WORLD ARC style is not planned here, you can surely dream of the renowned Pacific trade-wind crossing, typically spanning 3–4 weeks from Galapagos to the Marquesas and onward to Tahiti, adding over 4,000nm to your resume.
  • Marquesas Stopover (Optional, time-permitting):
    • The crew on board of your luxury yacht will be glad to make a stop for both the rest and re-provisioning of the water at least and make a stop at Atuona (Hiva Oa). Here you can also enjoy a safe swim, snorkelling and view of the dramatic island scenery and experience the Polynesian culture.
  • Tuamotus and Society Islands:
    • On this occasion you are likely to omit these islands, yet if that’s what you would you to add to your itinerary we can plan that too.  In this exceptional area, you can admire the atoll vistas and vibrant marine life of Rangiroa or Fakarava, what are probably the most inaccessible archipelago in the world, visited by only a few. Will you add your name to the list.
    • On the final few days, you can than enjoy the final approaches through Moorea and on to the charter’s completion in Papeete, Tahiti. Up to 6 weeks later, or longer if that’s what you would prefer, as we can make many scenarios possible, you can achieve a new dream, maybe even a bliss.  Let’s make it happen.

Why Choose BLUE GRIFFIN for This Epic Voyage?
While we can offer a few other boats for this type of ultimate sailing adventure, for now, we recommend BLUE GRIFFIN as one of the most realistic choices.  She is a well-managed and maintained boat, has a permanent highly professional crew and is willing to sail in this direction.  Another boat may also be either too expensive ie. 100ft sailing boat or a NEW 60 ft catamaran, or they may not be crewed by a sufficiently experienced and professional team able to bring you the best of all adventures on offer.  And, at the end of the day, even if you are not a boat owner, on board of this yacht and for this specific itinerary, you can pretend to be one. Alternatively, if you are a boat owner and your own boat is unlikely to head this way,
why not try a full 90-day seasonal trip where the you as the boat owner don’t go home during that whole time, and invite a few guests to join you for part of the journey?

As a result, on board of S/Y GRIFFIN you can expect:

  • Superyacht-Level Comfort:
Enjoy six weeks of absolute luxury, with professional crew handling all navigation, cuisine, and guest services.
  • Tailored Experiences:
The itinerary is fully customizable according to guest interests and desired stopovers.

S/Y BLUE GRIFFIN charters from 29,900 Eur or 35,000 US$’s per week yet for this itinerary we can possibly make a special 6 weeks or 90 day rate as per your own preferences of the charter duration.
All costs of the charter, and for access to Galapagos they can be specifically significant, are paid through APA or advance provisioning allowance at around 5,000 Eur per week onward and depending on the number of guests, planned itinerary and duration of the charter.
