APA stands for Advance Provisioning Allowance. It is typically 30% of the charter fee, paid in advance to cover expenses like fuel, food, marina fees, and dockage. The captain maintains detailed accounts, and any remaining funds are returned to you at the end of the charter.
VAT varies by country and cruising area. In the Mediterranean, it typically ranges from 10-22% and is usually charged on top of the charter fee. We provide clear breakdowns of all applicable taxes before you book.
While discretionary, it is customary to tip the crew between 10-20% of the base charter fee for excellent service. This is usually handled in cash and given to the Captain at the end of your trip, who distributes it among the crew.
Absolutely. Your itinerary is entirely flexible and can be adjusted daily based on weather, your mood, and discoveries along the way. The Captain will suggest the best routes while accommodating your preferences.
Cancellation terms are outlined in the MYBA contract. Generally, the deposit is non-refundable, but we strongly recommend charter cancellation insurance to protect your investment.
