MATINA

Gulet MATINA is a rare 8-cabin luxury gullet for up to 20 guests sleeping, permanently based in Athens and available for private yacht charters around Saronic Gulf and Cyclades. With her commanding 125 foot length, extraordinary 30 foot beam and over 1,500 square feet of sail, MATINA is one of the most impressive and generously proportioned motor sailers cruising the Greek islands. Launched in 2000 and refitted in 2004, 2008 and again in 2018, she blends the romance of traditional gullet sailing with the comfort, space and reliability expected of a modern charter yacht — making her a standout choice for large groups of up to 18 guests, with the flexibility to host up to 20 thanks to two additional Pullman berths.
A Yacht Designed for Large Groups Without Compromise
MATINA’s layout is exceptionally rare in the charter market. Her eight spacious staterooms, each with en suite facilities, are arranged to accommodate a wide variety of group configurations:
• 2 Double cabins (double bed) - 4 guests
• 2 Triple cabins (double + single bed) - 6 guests
• 4 Twin cabins (two single beds each, two with additional Pullman berths) - 8-10 guests
This thoughtful configuration makes MATINA ideal for multi family holidays, milestone celebrations, corporate retreats, or any group seeking the joy of travelling together without sacrificing comfort or privacy. Best of all, apart from accommodating up to 20 guests sleeping, she can also accept up to 49 guests cruising around the Saronic Gulf and islands such as Aegina.
Expansive Decks Made for Mediterranean Living
One of MATINA’s greatest luxuries is space — vast, open, sun drenched space. Her unusually wide beam creates huge exterior lounging areas, perfect for long days at anchor and relaxed socialising. Sun mattresses stretch across the top of the main cabin, offering a panoramic sunbathing deck where guests can unwind in complete comfort.
Dining is a highlight aboard MATINA. Guests may gather in the mahogany panelled salon, where a large teak table seats up to eighteen, or enjoy al fresco meals on the aft deck as the Aegean breeze drifts through. Whether it’s a leisurely breakfast at anchor or a candlelit dinner under the stars, MATINA’s atmosphere is warm, welcoming and effortlessly convivial.
A Crew Known for Hospitality
Her five person crew brings deep experience and genuine Greek hospitality to every charter. From navigating hidden coves to preparing fresh Mediterranean dishes and organising water activities, they ensure each day flows with ease and warmth — the hallmark of a truly memorable gullet experience.
The Perfect Yacht for Celebrations, Reunions & Shared Adventures
MATINA is more than a yacht — she’s a floating gathering place. Her scale, comfort and character make her one of the most appealing options in Greece for large groups who want to explore the islands together, share long meals, swim in secluded bays and enjoy the timeless charm of traditional sailing.
For holidays makers, yacht charter guests and travellers seeking a relaxed, spacious and authentically Greek charter experience, she remains one of the most compelling choices in the Eastern Mediterranean.
