About Luxury Sailing Catamaran AKASHA:
Luxury sailing catamaran AKASHA is one of the nicest sailing catamarans offered for charter in the recent years. All her features are very luxurious and provide great space and comfort.  The word Akasha is of Sanskrit origins and means ‘’infinite space’’, which perfectly suits this huge catamaran. With almost a 40’ wide beam and five luxurious cabins, all charter guests are bound to find their own private space.  As a result, Akasha is an award winning catamaran, and won the best boat in the BVI crewed yacht show of 2009.

Salon:
The salon of Akasha is furnished to a very high standard and incorporates very comfortable leather sofa, a 40″ retractable LCD TV with SAT TV, state of the art BOSE WAVE entertainment system and a comprehensive library of films, music and games.  The bar area is fully equipped with the finishing touches made by the display of oil paintings and original signed lithographs by Nelson Mandela and a great bronze sculpture by Christopher Bladen which provide the sumptuous atmosphere of comfort and luxury.

The sailing enthusiasts amongst the charter guests will find the navigation with it’s colour display of radar, chart plotting and boat performance information very interesting stoo.  A computer for guest emails and internet access is found nearby too.

Trampolines;
The super size trampolines are reached from the rear of the yacht via Akasha’s wide walkways.  Uniquely, there is also a swim ladder between the trampolines.  This can be lowered when swimming for an easier access to the water.  The trampolines are obviously a great spot for laying out and sunbathing in the Caribbean sun where you can stay cool even on the hottest of days as the constant breeze will definitely cool you down as the wind will inevitably pass through the net.

Cockpit:
The set up of the yacht allows the sailing to be entirely managed from the flybridge.  This leaves the spacious cockpit to be exclusively reserved for the entertainment and comfort of guests.  The major facilities include an outdoor dining table comfortably seating 10, two large sunbathing mattresses, large areas with cushioned seating and the main bar which serves both the cockpit and the saloon.

As usually on all catamarans, large steps lead to swimming platforms at the rear of each hull and between the hulls, the dingy dock allows easy and safe access to Akasha’s large and comfortable tender.

Flybridge:
The flybridge is one of the main features that made AKASHA the most futuristic sailing boat back in 2005.  The fly has cushioned seating, a sun bathing area, refrigerated bar and lovely 360 degree panoramic views. This unique, spacious area provides a superb relaxation and sunbathing area complete with comfortable cushioned seating, a refrigerated bar for refreshments and breathtaking 360° views, be it during the day to check up on your children snorkelling or during the night for stargazing. Akasha also has a removable Sun Shade for the fly-bridge which is very quick and easy to install.  Although not everyone’s requirement, the retractable shade has been greatly appreciated by all previous charters guests wishing to escape the midday sun whilst still enjoying the outdoor living !

Accommodation:
Luxury sailing catamaran AKASHA has a very spacious interior which offers flexible accommodations for couples and families.  There are in total of five guest cabins suitable for 10 adult guests.

Master Stateroom on board of AKASHA:
The full beam master cabin has a large king size bed, en suite facilities and a Jacuzzi.
There is also plenty of storage, a seating area, walk-in wardrobe, a safe and latest state-of-the-art entertainment system.
The views from the cabin are fabulous thanks to large windows spanning the full width of the yacht.

Guest cabins:
The additional 4 double, en suite guest cabins have all queen size beds.
One if these can be converted into a twin, making her ideal for children that may be on board.
All cabins have individual A/C controls, Playstation 2, LCD TV, CD and DVD players and portholes that look out to the horizon.

Chef:
On board of luxury catamaran AKASHA guests taste buds will be tantalised by superb chef Cara Lillis-James.  Born in 1984 in the UK, she completed a Performing arts Degree in London followed by an English teaching qualification in Egypt.  Initially, she left England and pursued a diving career in Thailand where she met the captain of Akasha. They have been working side by side for the past five years whereby Cara pursued a culinary career, training at Ashburton School of cookery and the prestigious Ritz Hotel in Paris. Working from a vast and very functional Akasha’s galley, she will surprise you with freshly baked bread as well as a high quality coffee from the on board espresso machine.  Her passion for originality as well as sailing, all combined with French training, produces astounding culinary masterpieces which is possible thanks to the boat having plenty of fresh food storage on board too. Cara’s combined love for the water and the culinary world make her an ideal yacht chef.  At the prestigious Charter Yacht Society Show in 2011, Akasha was awarded 'Best Over All Chef' prize in the Show's Culinary Competition.

Special services:
The yacht offers full body Swedish massage thanks to a qualified stewardess on board.  The 1^st mate is also a qualified and experienced diver, thus the charter guests can undertake diving directly from the yacht.

Luxury crewed charter yacht AKASHA is fully air conditioned throughout.
This is a non-smoking vessel.
AKASHA´s experienced super yacht charter crew of up to 4 including the captain Harvey Rogers have a separate head and shower but share companionway with the guests.
Guests may not be allowed to bring pets on-board.
