When it comes to sailing in the Mediterranean, not many areas are as popular as the Balearics. With lots of Spanish flair and westernized culture, it is a prime destination for anyone keen on hot summers, top facilities, great service and excellent sailing itineraries. An almost new and highly popular sailing catamaran KINGFISHER is the latest flagship of Lagoon shipyard, the Lagoon 65 which can be hired out of Palma de Mallorca island. With Lagoon 77’s sold out years ahead, if you are keen to buy a new luxury catamaran from Cata Lagoon, Sixty 5 is probably the only option at the moment. In terms of the S/Y KINGFISHER, she is one of the most luxurious SIXTY 5’s around. An extraordinary yacht with owner layout and 4 guest cabins, she features fine and modern looks, a huge volume, sleek design, great looks and amazing spaces fit for high-end relaxing, socialising, sunbathing and indeed sailing.
Luxury sailing charter in the Mediterranean in general, and the fashionable Balearics in particular, will be a great experience thanks to many features on board of this fine supercat. The wide transom platforms exudes luxury on entrance especially, allowing you to show off and feel important already on arrival. You can therefore start dreaming about your own floating paradise that you will own for life or for the next week, fortnight or during a long-term charter for longer period of time. The platforms make easy entrance to what is a sumptuous cockpit. New to the range is fixed platform-bridge which connects both transoms and allows for easy movement.
The walkabout is not restricted even during the times when platform is lowered into the sea to allow for easy access to the water by tender. Back into cockpit, you are surrounded by a luxury table which comfortably sits 8 adults. Aft bench with a pivoting backrest allows the user to face the cockpit or the passing sea views behind. Great addition to the layout with another area for sunbathing which will in particular be useful at peaceful anchorages around secluded island of Formentera or private island of Tagomago.
The stairs to flybridge are just behind the dining table and their wide, safe design leads you to the top deck. A dining table and seating lining the sides surround the nav station usually used as the main spot for navigation. Wet bar with plancha grill, refrigerator and lots of storage rounds up the space where you are likely to spend a good amount of time enjoying your sailing time around the Balearics and enjoying spectacular views of the sumptuious villas and local architecture of the West Mediterranean or to spot the next best hidden anchorage for snorkelling, swimming and water toys adventures on the water.
