Only a few years ago, crossing the Atlantic was an adventure for only a few hardcore sailors.  To do so, you would have to have thousands of miles of skippering or crewing experience and choice of boats was usually limited to monohulls from 40-50ft and a couple of top racing boats up to 80ft.  Moving forward, a huge number of multihulls was introduced in 00’s and in particular during 2010’s, when fleets turned the corner and introduced higher number of catamarans into their Caribbean ports for the first time in history.   This brought higher number of both experienced and those with limited experience sailors on board, all keen to experience ARC and ARC+ racing for the first or second time.

The number of catamarans increased enormously so that more than 100 have crossed just before covid-19.  Many of our clients dared to make the experience and some did so as cabin charter guests on luxury 67ft supercats, others as head charter clients on board of 50-60ft crewed catamarans, even higher number on 50ft skippered multihulls and biggest number as a bareboat charter experience on board of 40-50ft NEW catamarans only launched by French shipyards. Most picked up the boats in the Canary islands, just before start of ARC, many others did pick up the boats in West France before crossing the first part of their journey during October to join the other crew and boats in Gran Canaria.  This resulted in high number of crews experiencing the crossing and enjoying a very unique sailing experience.

The SUNREEF 70 (2022) is offered for immediate bookings from 50,000 Eur per week in the Mediterranean.  As a regular charter boat, she charges between 55,000 – 60,000 Eur during the high season.  VAT will apply in all destinations most likely and APA will be set at least 25% of the charter fee with one ways, deliveries or special requests costing extra and usually as per MYBA terms.  For this unique transatlantic crossing however, the pricing is to be confirmed depending on the route and number of guests, yet you should plan with a budget of at least 100,000 – 125,000 Eur.  Possible long-term charters, to follow up the crossing may also be available as you can sail another 4-12 weeks across all of the Caribbean on this or another luxury catamaran. Lastminute offers, day charters, special requests, long term charters and one ways can be requested and negotiated.
