Project Global, a 95m of Excellence launched by Lürssen!

German super yacht shipyard Lürssen announced the successful launch and unveiling of the 95.2m / 312.4’ Project Global earlier today.

Lürssen were proud to announce the successful launching and unveiling of project Global, which will soon be named "Kismet". She is built for a repeat and very experienced client, who up-graded from his former 68m Lürssen yacht.  Interestingly and confusingly, the previous 222' Kismet (2007) was recently renamed ''GLOBAL'' and the new yacht, 312' KISMET (2014) was launched as project Global.

The new owner of this 95m giga yacht, thankfully praised the stakeholders at the launch ceremony.  The excellent co-operation of his own staff consisting of the captain Kyle Fultz and his loyal crew with the design teams of Espen Oeino and Reymond Langton Design as well as Moran Yacht & Ship, who supervised the project and the Lürssen project team who played an important role in bringing this project to fruition was keenly mentioned.

Representative of the Lürssen shipyard confirmed: "We are happy that we have met the high-end expectations from the owner in terms of product quality and being able to stay within budget and on time. We are looking forward for Kismet to be delivered as scheduled and finding her place amongst her peers as being a remarkable statement in large yacht construction, based on an excellent design and excellent engineering skills."

The designer team at Espen Oeino have confirmed their project was given very harmonious lines: "The external living spaces are numerous and generous and have been laid out for both charter and private use in mind. The external deck facilities include an open fire place, external lounging and eating areas on three different decks including one with a fully equipped BBQ, an oval shaped swimming pool with integrated Jacuzzi on the sun deck and a very private observation deck overlooking it all. The master stateroom also has its own private external deck fully equipped with Jacuzzi and TV."

Interior designer Pascal Reymond explained what enhances Kismet's luxurious style: "The interior spaces distributions of Kismet are very original with some very dramatic features and fabulous perspectives with large voids between decks, perfect for large dining parties and also suitable for smaller private and more intimate uses thanks to sliding doors and panels which can separate elegantly each area. Kismet has everything any owner would inspire for. Elegant, spacious and well equipped spa with a plunge pool, every guest suites and owners area have their own identity and superb handmade textile and artwork, exotic woods and marble. Looking closely at the joinery detail of Kismet, she is very intricate with very interesting organic shapes and textures, still keeping an elegant and coherent design as a whole."

Kismet represents the very latest in high-end luxury cruising and she will be an exciting addition to the global charter fleet. With her experienced crew she will without doubt provide the ultimate experience to remember. She will be cruising her first season in the Caribbean in the winter 2014 2015 yacht charter season and although not currently confirmed she is expected to charter from around 1.5 mil US$'s/week plus APA and carry close to 30 super yacht crew members.  There are currently only few super yachts of this size and prestige on the yacht charter market and some of them are regularly available in the Mediterranean during summer season and the Caribbean or other parts of the world during the winter.

Swiss party of 4 gentleman chartered a luxury sailing catamaran LADY ALLIAURA in the Caribbean and had absolutely amazing experience. This lovely 70' cat was just perfect for their requirements and the  super yacht crew on board made all the difference too.
