More about the CHEF KAAN HASOZBEK
Young and very experienced chef Kaan is 30 years old, and holds an impressive CV for his age. Having graduated from Bilkent University of Political Science, he jumped the train and decided to take the path and grow his career in culinary studies. After certification in a Professional Culinary program, he had to, as is customary, complete his military service in Turkey. He was involved in daily menu planning and preparation of cuisine for Military Generals - including daily planning and special meetings. This was a real test of his imagination and planning. After military service, Kaan worked with the 'Elite Spa Resort' for two years and polished his skills in both Ottoman and Italian Cuisine. His desire to experience foreign culture, cuisine, and new styles of cooking brought him to work in the Maldives. Here he was Demi Chef De Partie, in charge of the cold section. On his return to Turkey, Kaan worked in one of the highest standard hotels of Marmara Group - The 'Bodrum Marmara'. Here his responsibilities covered, but were not limited to gourmet breakfast preparation and the 'a la carte' menu. Kaan is inspired by yachting and sailing, and food presentation onboard. He is eager to enrich Papa Joe's culinary culture with his fresh ideas. We are certain you will be impressed with his delights from the galley.
